Why can't I use
Untreated Water in my equipment?
Water is a
universal solvent.
It is able to dissolve, to some degree, all
compounds on Earth and for this reason rarely
exists as a pure substance in nature.
All water
contains some impurities that can cause
equipment problems, as a result of corrosion and
scale, if not properly treated.
What is Water
Optimization as opposed to Water Treatment?
The difference
between Water Optimization and Water Treatment
is subtle but extremely important.
Water treatment
is merely the application of chemicals to the
water in a system in the hope that actually does
some good.
Water
Optimization involves a
comprehensive
program of chemical application with
systematic follow-up and adjustments to assure
that neither corrosion nor scaling occurs in the
system.
How does a Water
Optimization Program work?
Our comprehensive water optimization program
consists of: supplying all custom blended
chemicals as needed, monthly
service visits to
the facility, routinely performance of in-plant
tests, check and/or adjust the
equipment, and
review findings with plant personnel.
We also instruct the facility's staff basic
water chemistry and system operation; since a
key factor in the program’s success requires
their involvement.
Will I really Save
Money by Optimizing my water?
Absolutely,
corrosion and scaling cost "big-time"!
Corrosion causes
both deterioration of the metal itself, and
deposition of the corrosion products to form
deposits. Corrosion can so weaken the metal that
failure of tubes occurs. Replacement is costly.
Scaling or
mineral deposits
are also costly, as they; significantly reduce
operating efficiency, produce boiler damage,
cause unscheduled outages and increase cleaning
expense.

about scale (Steam
Tip Sheet #7 • January 2006).
What makes Water
Treat USA different and better?
We genuinely
care about our reputation.
