formerly Economy Service and Sales Company (ESSCO), has served the Mid-Atlantic region for over half
a century.
Founded in 1955 as a
water treatment
sales and service company, today's
Water Treat
USA
llc
has evolved into a highly regarded water
treatment service company with special emphasis on
chemical optimization programs for boilers, cooling systems and
industrial closed water systems.
Our current customer base
includes a wide variety of manufacturers, food processing
plants, health care facilities, colleges and universities,
retirement communities, school districts and office
buildings.
The types of equipment that we treat range from
sophisticated automated production lines to critical HVAC
systems.
Company history
The company was founded in 1955 by Henry
B. Thomas.
At that
time ESSCO’s chemicals were toll blended by Bird Archer
Company and Thomas provided sales and installation services.
In 1967 ESSCO acquired the water treatment division of W.B.
Coleman company and began blending our own products.
In 1969, with the acquisition of Bossert Chemicals,
a water treatment company then located in Reading PA, ESSCO
moved to a large facility in Northeast Philadelphia.
In 1982, the in-house laboratory
was established.
In 2007, the company's name was changed to
Water Treat
USA
llc
and the company moved to its current location in
Southampton, PA.
